Anyone feel the need to be MOD? | Sun Apr 18, 2010 6:14 pm by meanwood_monks | Been thinking about this for a while now.
Some of you guys/gals have been here since day 1. Cheers for all your support over this time.
Was wondering if anyone was wanting to keep an eye on things and have MOD rights here.

| I drive past this every day on my way to work, so thought I'd have a look, glad I did, this place is amazing even if like me you're not into trains. It's a really big site and is like a maze. Ended up crawling under about three rows of cars as I'd got lost and couldn't get back to the way in. This collection of rolling stock was assembled by the mk2 coach association which was one man's ill fated dream of opening a museum. The land the rollingstock is situated on was served with a compulsory purchase order by the council as part of a project to widen the A1, which runs parallel to the site. Unable to foot the bill for removing the train and carriages to another site the owner has abandoned them. Update:- The engine and rolling stock are currently being moved to Dalton Airfield near Thirsk.

| This is so cool. I've enjoyed seeing PhilDs pics and King Elvis's of here, and really like the ones you have taken, particularly the one with the gap between the trains and also the lamp. Good one mate. Unable to comment on the species of bird. We need Bill Oddie on here I think. | |

| Nice one Mexico...love the mossy drivers cab pic. Like the others I keep meaning to do this one too...If it's the place i think it is there's about 5 other abandoned buildings on that stretch of road too.
I think it's a thrush by the way.

I think it's a thrush by the way. Yeah, a farm house an old BP station and a Little Chef to name a few. The BP had the most impresive selection of porn this side of the channel when it was open. Probs because of its close proximity to a big RAF camp

| Yeah those RAF boys are indeed dirty minded. I grew up near RAF Brize Norton and when I was kid mooching about in the country side I was always finding mouldy porn in Tesco bags. The internet has destroyed that important moment in a young mans's life! | |
