Anyone feel the need to be MOD? | Sun Apr 18, 2010 6:14 pm by meanwood_monks | Been thinking about this for a while now.
Some of you guys/gals have been here since day 1. Cheers for all your support over this time.
Was wondering if anyone was wanting to keep an eye on things and have MOD rights here.

| This place has been bugging me for a week or so, since I first realised it was being torn down. I managed to get a quick look today, but sadly it was really just a shell. These buildings were used most recently as day care facilities for people with disabilities but from the scant information I can find i think the older building dates back to the early 20th century and was originally used as "a small open-air ward for early cases of phthisis (ie TB)" I guess they thought a bit of rest and fresh air would cure you back then - but in 1916 50% of the patients entering such establishments died Once inside I realised the place had shut down in May, so i was 3 months too late really - but at least my curiosity has been satisfied | |

| Nice one mate. That whole "missing floor" thing looks scarily like that Childrens Home in Jersey. Good one for getting in there. | |

| there were actually an alarming number of brick hidey holes around this site, fortunately no bodies. Nice to have you back Rich...you've been noticeably quiet recently - presumably due to internet shite... | |
