Anyone feel the need to be MOD? | Sun Apr 18, 2010 6:14 pm by meanwood_monks | Been thinking about this for a while now.
Some of you guys/gals have been here since day 1. Cheers for all your support over this time.
Was wondering if anyone was wanting to keep an eye on things and have MOD rights here.

| Here's a few pics of mine from our visit to the former West Riding Pauper Lunatic Asylum Chapel. Not visited by many as the access/egrees are AWFUL & once inside it's AWFUL! Glad we got it under our belt though.... A couple of views externally After our filthy entrance... A typical pew The remains of the organ An internal view of the organ Dead pigeon alley Freebird negotiating the above alley The view from the pulpit is not the best The fire damaged end of the chapel The wonderful stained glass window showing amongst others a priest, nurse & doctor A close up of the Stanley Royd Hospital glass A peeling paint shot If only we could exit the normal way! Cheers for looking & if you want to see more please look on our flickr pages.

| Still a great looking place despite the blanket of pigeon poop! If only there was a way to make money out the stuff, we'd all be the Alan Sugars of shit...oh wait, Alan Sugar is the Alan Sugar of shit! | |

| Mate, that is so good. I love the photograph of the church with the damaged roof. Were the keyboards remaining on the organ? | |

Yes most of them were still there-it doesn't really have much vandalism etc in there to be honest. Thanks for your comments too.

| The entry has been sealed now, or should i say filled in. Which is probably for the best now to be honest, it was being used by junkies to inject heroin and the towns tramps were using it as a safe spot to bunk down.
A closer inspection of the access showed clothes, cider cans, bottles, dead pigeons, the most bird shit i've ever seen and god knows what else.

| Yea it was attracting a far bit of attention the last time I passed. A few drunks outside. If it was starting to be used for smack heads then its a damm good job its been blocked up. We need to get all smack heads into a abandoned tower block an flatten it with them all in it, in my opinion anyway. A little harsh I know but really who likes them? | |

| Well i dont. They're no better than rodents. Complete waste of space and 90% of them reoffend anyway. They never learn. Abolish the methodone program and let the scumbags rattle to death. | |
